Volvo Vehicle History Report
The Volvo V40 is a small mid-size (C-segment) luxury saloon automobile produced by Volvo between 2001 and 2011. Based on the Volvo S40, the V40 was available as a saloon, hatchback, estate and estate wagon, all styled by Volvo Cars' parent company, Ford, and offered with either a 2.3 L diesel or petrol engine in three models, and with a 3.2 L diesel V6 in the V40C. The design of the V40 was initially based on the Ford C-MAX, but the concept was later modified for the production version. The exterior design was more rounded and the exterior design featured chrome trim. The interior had features similar to the Volvo C30/C70, such as a 'floating instrument panel' made of carbon fiber and leather trim. The V40 was initially introduced in 2001, but the hatchback version was cancelled after four years. Do not forget to use Volvo VIN decoder in order to avoid potential problems when buying a used car.
